TOP FIVE MOST EASILY ROOTED ANDROID MOBILEPHONES

By definition "Rooting" is a method to attain privileged access (Or "root access") in mobiles and other devices, running the Android OS. It is similar to jailbreaking in Apple devices running iOS.
Rooting is a toss-up. Depending upon the model of your Android device, as well as the current version of firmware, you could just as easily brick your phone as you could root it.
Some phones like the MyTouch 3G (T-Mobile’s version of the HTC Magic) are notoriously hard to root, requiring intensive action, such as the “gold card” method. Other phones have fewer restrictions, and are much easier to root.

Why Root?

So why would a user want to root in the first place? While rooting can damage your phone for good, it opens up the ability to use features that mobile carriers would normally ban, such as WiFi tethering and Skype calls. Rooting is the best way to give the phone total functionality.
If you haven’t bought your Android phone yet, the following list will give you a good idea of which ones are the most easy to root. For current Android owners, check to see if your phone is on the list before you begin the rooting process.

Top Five List

1. Samsung Epic 4G: Perhaps the best Android phone on the market today, the Samsung Epic 4G is actually surprisingly easy to root. The firmware factory-loaded with the phone makes the version downgrade process easy for those looking to revert back to Android Donut, Froyo, or any other builds.

2. HTC Evo 4G: This phone already has amazing functionality right out of the box. For those users looking to get the most out of their phone, rooting the HTC EVO 4G is as simple as following an online guide. The HTC EVO 4G roots smoothly, and very few bricked devices have been reported to Android communities as a result of a bad root.

3. T-Mobile myTouch 4G: Unlike its predecessor the myTouch3G, the myTouch4G is extremely easy to root. CyanogenMod and many other standard mods load seamlessly into the system. The T-Mobile myTouch 4G is definitely a root-friendly phone and T-Mobile has been relatively supportive of the modding community.

4. Motorola Droid: The Droid garnered support from the Android modding community as the most easily moddable device back in 2010. Only a couple of these devices had Perfected SPLs, and that was a result of refurbishment in a factory after warranty replacement phones were shipped out to users.

5. HTC Droid Incredible: While there have been some issues with Perfected SPL devices with the Droid Incredible, there have been a large number of guides on how to solve any rooting issues with this device released in recent months. Because the HTC Droid Incredible ships with rootable firmware, it can easily be placed on the top five for the most easily rooted Android devices.

Remember to back up data before rooting any phone. Read through the guides carefully to avoid damaging the device.
